Tinos

Tinos is a Greek island situated in the Aegean Sea located on the northern side of the Cyclades group of islands. In antiquity, Tinos was also known as Ophiussa and Hydroessa. Tinos is one of the most enchanting Greek islands. Beautiful sandy beaches, traditional villages and minimal Cycladic architecture create a unique atmosphere that never fails to captivate the visitors.

The island’s Italian influences, beautiful beaches and quintessentially Cycladic flavor welcome visitors. Possessing a long Italian tradition, as, in the past, the island was ruled by the Republic of Venice, Tinos is  filled with delights and treasures.

The closest islands are Andros, Delos, and Mykonos. It has a land area of 194.464 square kilometres and a 2011 census population of 8,636 inhabitants.
